Nothing says I love you like sugar and jam. Bake these heart shaped pop tarts, filled with strawberry jam and topped with melted chocolate and mini pearl sprinkles for the loved ones in your life, and that includes just for yo self xx Nina

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons ground flax seed combined with 6 tablespoons water
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup raspberry Jam (or your fav flavor!)
Pink and white candy melts, to decorate pop tarts
Sprinkles for decorating (optional)

Directions:
Cream together flax seed water mixture, sugar, oil, and vanilla. Slowly add flour and baking powder. Mix together. The dough might be crumbly, use your hands to smooth it out and combine it. Roll out dough on floured surface (about 1/4 to 1/8 thick. Not too thick since then the circles are hard to shape and will open up. Not too thin since then it will rip when shaping or filling) and cut out hearts using cookie cutters. Fill center of heart with jam. (about 1/2 tsp each) and cover with another heart on top. Using a fork crimp the edges down all around. Bake on 350′ for about 12 to 15 minutes. Once cookies have cooled off, melt candy melts in the microwave on 30 second increments until melted. Drizzle over cookies then top with sprinkles.
